Adam's Ford Escort Mk1 - Page Three
One of the major problems with this shell was that it had, at some stage in its life, been partially prepared for competition use. This meant that the shell had been fitted with rear turrets, a 5 link kit and the rear quarter panels had been cut for bubble arches. The whole rear inner arch sections were missing as the car had been very poorly 'tubbed'. Adam wanted everything returning to standard, and with a little help from the Escort Agency, managed to track down the parts that wed asked for.
The rear quarter panels adam provided were actually fairly poor, with one of them showing some hefty accident damage, and the other having previously been re-paired. But new panels are upwards of £500 each!!
With the standard rear quarter panels on, we could fit the obligatory set of new rear outer arches, inner arch lips, lower rear quarter panels, lower rear valance and outer sills.
